About Procure Plus

Do you want to work for a business that does more than just talk about corporate citizenship and making a difference? At Procure Plus, we are driven by a purpose. To find out more, simply read on.

We provide cost-effective, high-quality procurement solutions for social housing landlords and other public sector bodies. We win work by being the best and invest our hard-earned surplus into our core commitment of creating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals who have been traditionally left on the sidelines. This amounts to several hundred people having the dignity of the work that they seek and deserve.

But we're also more than just work ourselves; we're all about our people. Our culture is apparent in all that we do, and we are committed to providing an environment where our team can grow, be themselves, and flourish, both professionally and personally.

About You and the Role

We are looking for someone with real experience who shares our values, wants to work somewhere that makes a difference and has the ability to connect with people, build relationships and deliver complex and strategically important procurement that supports our clients and grows our business.

Procure Plus is an exciting place to work; our frameworks and dynamic purchasing systems transact £250 million per annum. Your procurement knowledge is a given, problem-solving is a requirement, and the ability to think creatively and bring yourself to work is nurtured. This is a hands-on role for someone with significant UK public procurement experience and would suit a senior (think 10 years’ relevant experience) procurement specialist.

Ideally, this experience should be in the procurement of the goods, works and services required to maintain and repair social housing properties. Experience in this particular sector is not essential, but it is essential that you can transfer your knowledge and that you actively appreciate how complex markets can be. You should be able to lead procurements independently using your knowledge of public procurement in a way that brings the Procure Plus vision to life. You should be kind, curious, collaborative and friendly and be energised by finding solutions.

This role is a vital part of a market-leading procurement team. Collaboration is key as the role contains significant responsibility for leading the delivery of business-critical procurement outcomes. It is not a role for someone who is looking to lead a procurement function, which we recognise requires a very different set of skills, nor is it a role for anyone without significant experience in public sector procurement.

Why work with us?

We’re dedicated professionals who believe work should be enjoyed, not endured. We offer flexibility wherever we can, because we understand you also have a life outside of work. Our work environment is relaxed and friendly, diverse and inclusive; somewhere you will feel valued and respected.

Regardless of your role, we reward ability, performance, and a positive attitude with a comprehensive package that caters to your needs. Our package includes a company bonus, a generous holiday allowance (25 days plus bank holidays for full-time employees, increasing to 30 days plus bank holidays over time), healthcare coverage, a pension scheme with matched contributions up to 7%, life assurance, salary sacrifice schemes, and free parking.

Procure Plus is experiencing an exciting time of growth as we expand our services and reach a broader audience nationwide, whilst maintaining our position as a leading framework for social housing. If you think you’re a fit for us, apply here with a CV and a note explaining why you want to join us. We can't wait to hear from you.

Use of AI

We don’t use AI in our recruitment processes; we promise your application will be reviewed by a person – and we will let you know the outcome!  AI can be a great tool to help you organise ideas, check clarity, or refine wording, but it can also make applications feel inauthentic and generic or misrepresent you, your qualifications or experience. We encourage you to use your own words or adapt AI-assisted content to help us get a real sense of who you are.
